The long-awaited TitanX from Mantis is a gamechanger! Debuting late last fall, the TitanX has been a hit from the start. There were initially some restocking issues due to it selling so well, but now that ample stock is back, I figured it would be a good time to let you know all about it! And besides, it gave me an extra few months to train with it.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I’ve been a fan of Mantis products since the very beginning back in 2017 (links at bottom). I’ve worked with a lot of their products over the past few years, and the TitanX does not disappoint!
What is the Mantis TitanX? The TitanX is a laser training dryfire system, that has an integrated sensor to interpret every aspect of your draw, your aim, your steadiness and your trigger press. It’s data-driven instant feedback that records on the Mantis app (available on your smartphone or tablet). Every shot is analyzed multiple different ways, and the software recommends corrections which ensure you’ll be a better shot in a very short amount of time.
Revolutionary to a dry fire pistol, the TitanX can also analyze your holster draw. After all, we carry for personal protection – working on our draw, aim and fire gets us on target faster and more accurately. As a Gunsite graduate, I know how important streamlining the process is, and I’ve trained it extensively. Now I can do it in the comfort of my home with the TitanX, without wasting ammunition, any time of the day. Muscle memory is imperative for a quick shot, the ability to draw from a holster is a true gamechanger. And the best part? I get instant data-driven feedback and clear, concise suggestions for improvement, right on my smartphone or tablet.
My TitanX mimics the size and weight of a Glock 19. It comes with 2 auto-detecting weighted magazines, so you can also work on your tactical reloads. (Fun fact: it will also accommodate regular Glock 19 magazines). It’s also optics ready, so if your daily carry / EDC has an optic, you’ll want to train with one on the TitanX. If you’re thinking about adding an optic, putting one on your TitanX and training with it will let you know if you want one on your EDC.

Realistic Trigger Reset: The trigger reset is crisp and clean, just like a regular handgun.
Optics Ready: Each model is optic-ready with a RMR / Shield RMS / RMSc footprint.

The laser technical details are as follows (per the manufacturer): 650 nm, 60ms, Class 3R – Red laser. The TitanX laser is currently only available in red. They intend to produce green and IR versions in the future.

Compatibility:
TitanX 700 emulates the functional features of the Glock 17
TitanX 701 emulates the functional features of the Glock 19
TitanX 702 emulates the functional features of the Glock 45
TitanX is compatible with the Mantis Laser Academy app (sold separately), the MantisX app, and some future products that for now, remain anonymous. And of course, you can use it as a standalone laser training pistol.
